Abstract

We present tools for manual scoring and annotation of digital video. These tools are well suited for scoring facial behavior using the Facial Action Coding System, as well as other scoring systems and annotation tasks. The tools enable controlled playback of digital video, and provide text fields linked to each video frame. The systems output to tab-delimited text files, enabling analysis by most statistical software packages. Icode was developed by the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University and operates on Windows. SCORE was developed by the Machine Perception Lab at UCSD and operates on Macintosh. Both are available for download at the links below.
